Core Curriculum assessment reports summarize institution-level student learning, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and document actions planned for the next assessment cycle.
How to Interpret the Results
Findings are designed to inform improvement of the Core Curriculum as a whole. They are not used to evaluate individual instructors, courses, departments, or colleges.
Available Reports
Critical and Creative Thinking
Assessment year: 2024-2025
1,314 student artifacts were assessed. A total of 75.8% were rated Accomplished or Proficient.
Quantitative and Scientific Reasoning
Assessment year: 2024-2025
466 student artifacts were assessed. Approximately 80% were rated Accomplished or Proficient, exceeding the 75% target.
Communication
Status: Assessment workshop scheduled for Summer 2026.
The report is expected during the 2026-2027 reporting cycle.
Responsible Citizenship
Status: Planning in 2025-2026; data collection in 2026-2027.
The report is expected during the 2027-2028 reporting cycle.
Using Results for Improvement
Across assessment cycles, findings may lead to revisions in assignment design, rubric language, faculty preparation, assessor calibration, communication, and support for multi-section courses. Future reports and archived materials will be added to this page as they become available.
